Six-Beat of Tears! (涙のシックスビート! Namida no Shikkusu-Bīto!) is the tenth episode of season two of the Free! anime, and the twenty-second episode of the overall series. It aired on September 3, 2014.

Rin becomes aware of Sosuke's shoulder injury and learns that all his talk of being scouted was a lie. As the two take their conversation outside, unaware that Haru is nearby, Sosuke reveals that he had been constantly training so that he could one day compete against Rin, injuring his shoulder in the process.

Resolving to quit swimming, he wanted to see Rin swim one more time but ends up witnessing his breakdown. However, Sosuke found a new dream after he saw Rin picked himself up thanks to his friends. Sosuke decided that he would only quit swimming after he becomes true friends with Rin.

Despite Rin's objections, Sosuke states that he wants to swim with everyone in the relay. Nitori and Momotaro backs him up.

Having heard the whole conversation, Haru asks his team to give everything they've got in response to Sosuke's dedication. As the match gets underway, Sosuke's shoulder acts up, but Rin encourages him to make it to the end of his leg. This leads to the final showdown between Haru and Rin, with Iwatobi winning by a fraction of a second.
