Hi everyone, Tari here!
I have been adding and editing a lot of the Japanese songs and titles within the Free Wikia and I have been wondering about the use of Japanese particles, more specifically, what romanized (romaji) form of each particle that should be used. Basically what I'm trying to say is; I don't know how to change particles from Kanji to Romaji. There are all different versions across the wiki, so I don't know what's correct. I've made assumptions before, but I feel like I should check with everyone just to make sure. Here are the three I am confused with: (Click read more to view Kanji)
は- used to indicate a topic[]
- The character itself is 'ha'
- In a sentence, is pronouced 'wa'
- Would it be written as 'ha' or 'wa'?
- e.g.) "Seikai ha itsumo..." / "Seikai wa itsumo..."
- Would it be written as 'ha' or 'wa'?
を- used to indicate an action[]
- The character itself is 'wo'
- In a sentence, is pronouced 'o'
- Would it be written as 'wo' or 'o'?
- e.g) "Kizuna wo Tsure..." / "Kizuna o Tsure..."
- Would it be written as 'wo' or 'o'?
へ- used to address (a person/people), indicate direction & time[]
- The character itself is 'he'
- In a sentence, is pronouced 'e'
- Would it be written as 'he' or 'e'?
- e.g) "Ashita he..." / "Ashita e..."
- Would it be written as 'he' or 'e'?
Hopefully that somewhat makes sense because it's a lot of info to take in :)))))))
